8 months since the first concepts, 40 hours spent in the FLP--this has been quite the song to work on! It was one of those songs that became more fun to work on as time went on, instead of the opposite. The process was not rushed, everything flowed naturally, and all of it culminated in this, and I couldn't be prouder.

I've mentioned before how I owe a lot to Dusttrust, with my work for the project having earned me thousands of followers--and hundreds of thousands of plays. 5k is a big milestone, one  that is not crossed often in this community. Slaughter in the Spotlight is my most played song by FAR, and it's been due for an update. I knew that one last update would be an appropriate  marker of this occation. I know it's been a few months since I reached this milestone, but I think this will have been worth the wait.

Darkness envelops the room. You look around in panic--what's happening? Isn't it over? You've just watched your opponent turn to dust, surely the battle is finished? Suddenly, blinding  spotlights switch on. As your eyes adjust, you notice you seem to be on a stage. A figure emerges from the fog, and with a tap of his boot, thunderous music begins to blare from the sound system behind him. The crowd starts to roar: you can recognize the faces of those you've killed among them. It's become apparent that the battle is far from over, but now's not the time  for frustration; you and him have a show to put on, and the audience is craving blood!

Enemy list:

Commando-bot (left)
Usually assigned as the team-captain for hostile enemy hordes. Being an elite variation of the default "Soldier-bot", Commando-bots are usually armed with more aggressive artillery such as minigun-related arsenals and prioritize dealing high damage. They can also occasionally be seen with other weaponry as well or other tactical equipment such as riot-shields. Commando-bots are usually the leader of the enemy swarm and help guide and command other enemies.

Fridge-bot (centre)
A variation of the Soldier-bot that specializes in ice-cold weaponry. Fridge-bots have the ability to freeze their opponents on sight with an ice beam. This variant is weak to fire-elemental attacks. Upon defeat, they can sometimes drop ice cores which can be used to craft ice-elemental weapons.

Orbo (right)
Hovering companions that occasionally accompany Commando-bots or their variants. Do not underestimate their smaller size. If provoked, they can enable satellite connections to unleash a devastating airstrike attack as well as provide a silent-alarm to call for reinforcements.
