Skylier Clark, better known as YK has invisioned his dream of becoming an independent rap artist. Born June. 25, 1990 in Massillon, Ohio to parents Shawanna and Spencer Clark. Leaving home at the young age of 16, he never intended to do big things with his music, but only to make music as a hobby. Another passion of his was basketball. He hoped to be good enough to make it to league, however his love for music outweighed his basketball dreams. Over the years his love for music grew rapidly, as well as his dreams to be a positive touch to music. The kind of music people can respect and enjoy.
As a father of one daughter and two sons, family is his main focus. Leaving home so early made him face reality and learn what life was about, also that nothing is free. Leading him to his favorite quote: "You gotta put in work to get results"
