LCY's mix references UK club music's past, yet also drives forward into the future, in the way that it fluidly weaves together experimentation and their percussive sound. They say of their mix: 'This mix was a bit of a focus on breaks. I’ve found that when I’m anticipating something all I want to listen to is drums rhythms and textures and not much melody at all ~ the hour acts as a warm up to my set for unsound tonight infused with uk club sounds and should make you feel ready to go and dance'.

This 22nd guest mix episode is definitely a special one.. Here to drop his first official neurobreaks mix, we have one of the biggest names pushing this unique style of breaks right now, the south west's very own Pluvio! 

Having dabbled in breaks and glitchhop for many years under the alias Raptus, this past year has seen him focus his full attention into the Pluvio project, resulting in making huge waves across the breaks and neurobreaks scene with a series of cutting edge productions which have seen him featured on UKF, alongside mentions in Mixmag and headliner slots on huge Spanish breaks events such as Bass Pressure in Seville. Some of Pluvio's recent hard hitting releases include collaborations with the likes of Afghan Headspin and AKOV, tracks which can be found on labels like Audiogore and the mighty Symbiotik Records - the dedicated neurobreaks label he runs alongside AKOV and Screamarts. 

Considering Pluvio has only been pushing this project fully for the past year, it is safe to say we are super excited to see what the future holds and what productions are coming next! Enjoy this 45 minute mix full of mostly exclusives forthcoming on Symbiotik Records, set list below!

Happy 3/03!  The Acid Disk EP from G Jones and Eprom in 2017 really opened my eyes. I remember when 'HYSTERIA', the first single, came out so vividly: I had just arrived home and decided to put it on as I was doing chores. Very quickly, I had to stop and sit down, as it was so profoundly captivating to me.  All of the songs on that record hold a special place in my heart, and I was lucky enough to catch Eprom and G Jones on their b2b tour.  Massive thanks to them both for their work, they have inspired me so much during the 10 years I've been writing electronic music.   

The original version of this song is a masterpiece in its own right, but I find myself rarely playing 150BPM these days, and when I do DJ, I frequently make edits so that they fit within my own selection of music a bit more organically, which is how this project started. Anyway, thank you so much for reading this, and for listening. I hope you like it :)
