Justis Kao blends the sounds of Pop, R&B, Gospel, Jazz and Funk to create music that inspires the soul. He won Best Male Singer/Songwriter for the Los Angeles Music Awards. On Season 1 of The XFactor USA with Simon Cowell, he sang background vocals for the top 12 contestants including winner, Melanie Amaro, as well as R. Kelly, Avril Lavigne and Alanis Morissette.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Justis graduated with a degree in Contemporary Writing & Production from Berklee College of Music in Boston. Trained as a classical pianist while heavily influenced by the sounds of Gospel, Jazz and Rhythm & Blues, Justis’ music has been likened to the sounds of Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and Bruno Mars. Justis has been performing locally in Los Angeles at singer/songwriter hotspots like Room 5, Molly Malone's, House of Blues and has sung the national anthems for the Toronto Raptors, LA Kings, LA Clippers and LA Lakers at Staples Center.  He has toured nationally and internationally as an independent artist through Europe, India, Asia and South Africa.

Chris has also been recently very well received by the TED community with a TED talk on "The Healing Powers of Music”. Terron Brooks is an accomplished singer/songwriter/actor who has a passion for sharing his gift of music with the world. Born and raised in Southern California, Mr. Brooks has had the pleasure of performing with many amazing artists as Stevie Wonder, Josh Groban, David Foster, Randy Jackson, JC Chasez, Stephanie Mills, Peter Cetera, Lizz Wright, Yolanda Adams, Sheila E., and Michael Jackson. Terron is a two-time NAACP Award nominee for supporting actor and is best remembered for his critically acclaimed portrayal of Eddie Kendricks in the Emmy Award winning NBC mini-series The Temptations.

When Alisha Zalkin and Dan Kalisher met through the Los Angeles music scene, there was an immediate mutual admiration for each other’s abilities. Little did they know, it would give birth to one of LA’s top up-and-coming rock bands, Sleep Machine.

Boasting the sound of a modern Led Zeppelin fronted by the powerfully soulful Zalkin, Sleep Machine looks to continue their ascent up the ranks of LA’s historic rock scene with the release of their new single, “Animal High,” ahead of their sophomore EP of the same name. Every one of Animal High’s six tracks proves just how talented the duo is – along with drummer Kiel Feher – can be when channeling their energetic blues-based rock.

After bursting on to the scene with the release of last year’s debut EP, Cover Me In Gold, Sleep Machine has been featured in publications such as Entertainment Weekly and Myspace’s “Artist of the Day.” Their music can be heard on television shows and commercials ranging from ABC’s Quantico and MTV’s Finding Carter to TV Land’s Younger and E!’s The Royals, while the band’s own video  “Wild For You” earned the 2015 LA Music Critic Award for “Best Video (Live).” 

Aside from their success as Sleep Machine at LA venues such as the legendary Viper Room and The Hotel Cafe, Kalisher and Zalkin have each been featured on national and international tours and performed on enormous stages such as The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The View, and the MTV Movie Awards. Kalisher – who recorded every shredding guitar solo and pounding bass line (as well as produced) on both Animal High and Cover Me In Gold – can also be found doing everything from playing pedal steel on the official soundtracks for Netflix shows to producing full-length albums for artists across the country.
