As O (Theta), Themistoklis Altintzoglou employs metaphysics and biometrics to stimulate mental and physical reactions. The result is close to dark ambient with a noisy texture that flirts between dystopian crust punk and existential bl(e)ack metal. © uses any type of media that can lead to sound experiments that, even though thoroughly planned, allow the planned system to express probabilistic individuality. Ilinx is a collection of tracks resulting from sound explorations carried out between 2020 and 2024.
During these years, the compositions were influenced by theoretical, visual, and sonic research. These focused on altered states of consciousness (hypnosis, lucid dreaming, sensory deprivation), psychophysical phenomena (otoacoustic emission, phosphene), the role of mental projections in the process of reality-making (perception), and the role of the imaginary in politics (ideology, distraction, alternative). These pieces are infused with these questions and focus on the induction of psychic states, suggestion of imaginaries, and perceptive confusion.
