Polaris Stanley - Leave It All Behind

"WE DO" is one of those tunes that came together quickly. My Co/Writer partner, Mark Eades and I got together one afternoon in the Studio and wrote the song off the cuff knocking it out in just one take. The only tracks that were overdubbed were my backing vocal/harmonies accompanied by Mark's stacked rhythm guitar tracks and lead overdub. The song really wrote itself.  I find that most of our originals that turn out well with cool hooks and a lot of 'Feel' are those that only take 5-10 minuets to write.  This is an un mastered version of the song.

We Do

"Say What You Mean"  Lyrics and Music by Polaris Stanley, Music by Mark Eades.  This song came to me in a dream one night as clear as if I were listening to music under Headphones.  I woke up and began writing down the lyrics while humming the melody.  I brought the song to rehearsal the following week and Mark Eades wrote the counter riffs.  We recorded this Demo at House Of Blues Studios in Memphis, TN as part of our development deal with Sam Phillips Record Distribution Company.  This is an un mastered version of the song.
