Meeting paramilitares, kommunist guerilla, dining in Fort Benning and getting their final degrees at the School of the Americas.

Trecking regions highly praised for ancient cultures, for individual tourism, the beauty of the landscape and the peaceful inhabitants - but some of these areas turned into nightmares far beyond immagination, they are out of focus of what is happening in places that seem to be of more interest to the european stock market. In fact everything is connected. If you are worthless in a region, you are worthless in all regions.

Solanaceae is the creation of Kim Larsen, which portrays a more psychedelic folk feeling than usually put forth in his :Of The Wand & The Moon: project. However the unmistakable voice and songwriting is still Kim Larsen´s, which probably leaves this album as close to an :Of The Wand & The Moon: album without being that. The album features 13 songs with themes of magick, woods and mysteries, and are mainly written and performed by Kim Larsen with kind help and appearances by Chelsea Robb (Arrowwood), Pythagumus Marshall (Novemthree), Michael Laird (Unto Ashes), John van der Lieth (Sonne Hagal), Fenella Overgaard (:Of The Wand & The Moon:), Vincent Farrow (Solblot) and Anne Eltard who also appeared on the first :Of The Wand & The Moon: album.

For over two years, Post-industrial auteurs Kim Larsen and Clay Ruby have been chipping away at this split release, sculpting something truly confounding and unique. While either side of this split sounds almost nothing like the other, where both projects connect is in their ability to combine seemingly incongruous musical elements together seamlessly. Combinations of space and tension, sorrow and frenzy, loss and abundance, all exist within the same short spans of time. Not only are they highly dynamic in terms of mood but also in style, where ingredients from various types of Folk music, Death Industrial, Funeral Doom, Kosmische Musik, Electroacoustic composition and further mutations all clash together in a way that could only make sense on this album.     Adrift in the sea of narcotic synth textures, discordant recitations, contaminated laboratory noises, misshapen fragments of charlatan sermons, cannibal ceremonies, voices of dying children and speeches of the moribund Eastern Blok dictators, Variola Vera navigates its wayward course amidst the bitter nostalgia, ritualistic fervency, lethargic dejection, and frantic anguish.

Casablanca Flamethrower is Prurient's first proper full length for Tesco Organisation. Thirteen tracks of doom electronics crowded by voices of industrial cynicism focused on four theatres (corridors of violence):

Casablanca Flamethrower deals with alternative histories. About hidden allied war crimes. The wild and ferocious airborne divisions once they passed the beachhead and their fateful encounters with civilians. About forgotten victims and known memorials. We deal here with the memorials we see that were created after the fact. By ’hiding what is known’ we see another history, another past... a past without a future!
