Hello! Thank you soo much for listening to my remix of “Polarkreis 18 - Allein, Alene feat. Nephew”. The original was a big hit in Europe back in 2008. Catchy rhythms and a combination of German and English vocals caught the attention of many. My favorite band "Nephew" was asked if they were interested in remixing the song and give it their touch. What was meant as a remix, instead turned into a collaborative rework of the entire song. The song was now titled "Allein, Alene" - 'allein' = alone in German and 'alene' = alone in Danish. They brought power, atmosphere, and an incredible melody that will never leave my head. 
First and foremost, I made this remix for me and my dad. "Nephew" is our favorite band + they're danish. My dad was the one who inspired me to remix it. I hadn’t been inspired for a long time, and he reminded me of the songs existence and asked why hadn’t remixed it yet. This turned out to be my most ambitious and tedious remix to date, as I had to recreate all elements in the song from scratch and pull out the vocals using some advanced frequency techniques. 
I hope, by doing this remix, I can help shed some light on some incredibly unique and badass music, created in my home country, Denmark.
