We are an indie rock band of five best friends from Kiev.

It all started back in september of 2014. We decided it would be fun to make a rock-band. 

Soon it became the most important work of our lives.

"The Lanterns" was the name that we picked for our band. It states for the light that we saw in our dark days and it reminds us that we can "shine" as long as we have "fire" in us.

However, in June 2015 we changed it on "Backyard Explorers". And for this everyone of us makes his own sense. Ivan's thought is about "Backyard" as a place where child`s 
fantasies become real. Or at least close enough to this.

So, we would really appreciate all support that you can afford. More support - more "fire".
