What to lose? The fear!? How do you feel to being human today in 2020's?

2020, a year that will be forever engraved in our memories as Year One of the Covid debacle.
So much has already been said about it that we feel there is no need for more.
However, 2020 was also the year when wonderful Malka Tuti label released Tapan’s remix to Decha’s song Niebla from her sold-out debut album Hielo Boca as part of MT0028 Decha - Hielo Boca Remixes. This remix led to a fresh collaboration between the Serbian duo and the German vocalist, which in time bred a brand new track, titled simply TWENTY.
On Twenty, Tapan’s massive bass lines, heavy kicks and their sense for drama and epicness, meets Viktoria Wehrmeister aka Decha’s soft poetic lyrics and tribal style. The result is a massive slow yet heavy tribal industrial track for the alternative dance floors and late night situations in dark dark basements.
The record is comprised of 4 tracks, an original version and a beatless version as well as a deep and trippy dancehall interpretation by one of the best duos and half planet's favourite remixers Full Circle (aka Joakim & Alexis Le-Tan) and a punky mid-tempo banger by Mexican maestro and total inspiration Rebolledo who gives his signature sonic attitude to his interpretation of the original track.

'Aggelos first approached Lurid Music with the idea for this project a few months ago. We agreed on one condition, that all proceeds be donated to refugee causes, like we did with his Black Sea EP which supported the Syrian refugee crisis. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we decided our focus had to be helping the Ukrainian refugees who were forced to leave their homes in search of safe havens abroad.

We discussed this with most contributors to the project and the consensus was that donations should strictly go to humanitarian groups and not any armament funds. There were also some thoughts about helping conflict-affected peoples in other parts of the world but we decided it was too much to tackle for a relatively small project like this one.

Therefore, donations stemming from the sales of this release will be distributed to the following humanitarian groups currently active in Ukraine or neighboring countries welcoming refugees:

Human Endeavour Records, the newest member of the Ransom Note Records label family, returns with ‘Confession Time’, its second release and first solo artist EP from DJ, vocalist and producer Anastasia Zems.

Four tracks of heads down, mid-tempo sludge that sees her thread the needle between acid, EBM, new beat and cold wave.

On the inspiration behind the EP, Anastasia explains: “Behind each of the tracks there is a story about something personal. It so happens that my vocals usually appear in tracks during improvisation and most often do not change. This is my way of expressing feelings. It turns out that this is the time for confession.”

Alexander Dorn, better known as Credit 00, returns to Uncanny Valley to release his No More Sad Trance EP, a four tracker highlighting the artist’s musical extravaganza as well as love of experimentation when it comes to own productions and therefore consists out of a conglomerate of sounds and influences reaching from Jungle, Garage over to Trance and 90s Pop and more. Save The Forest!, the last track on the EP, shows signs of Trance-typical sounds with slight 90s nuances put over a lush bass line. Wobbling chords, slight Acid bleeps and short Break-esque round off the track making one musically dive into the rain forest as the before mentioned sounds create not only the atmosphere of it but also deliver an approach for a visualization of the scenery.

The silence in the room was palpable. They'd run out of words, there was nothing left in the tank. She couldn't bear the tension, how quickly things had turned from perfectly pleasant to sour in just a matter of minutes. His vacant expression gave little away, she'd always found it difficult to read him. She stared at him long and hard, hoping there'd be some sort of tell eventually, but nothing... Her hope had turned to confusion then to anger, what more could she give when he gave her nothing back?

After releasing a handful of EPs under his Count van Delicious alias which focuses on Italo Disco, Bristol-based DJ and producer Cowper is now exploring new musical terrain under his given name. His debut EP, I Can See You, Can You See Me? comes as a self-release and features four slow, dark and hypnotic tracks. There's echoes of trance, industrial, EBM and ambient, all stirred up good and proper to create an atmospheric collection of metallic beats and psychedelic synth cuts.

The alarm rang loudly, its shrill tone met with grunts, exclamations and the rustling of duvets. Slowly but surely people began to rise from their beds and start their daily rituals; teeth brushed, clothes ironed, morning stretches complete. Nothing changed, every day was the same, a stringent routine that was too hard to break. They all knew that there must be something beyond this existence but most chose to bury their heads in the sand and take the easy road.

Terra Magica return with another stellar Various Artists compilation, welcoming a roster of fresh faces and returning favourites. Intended to not just move your body but expand your mind too, Life Of Phoroma is a 'journey through chaos, confusion, and pure eclecticism' that features music from the likes of Lucas Croon, Volta Cab, A-Tweed, Too Smooth Christ, label bosses Hektisch Sprengen DJs and countless others. After more than two years Martin Kuška returns with his project Goodbye Mirage with a new EP "Turning Point Observer". A hypnotic dreamy-progressive five track and five remixes EP, in whose tracks you can constantly search for something new - the endless faith or doubt, the loneliness of days or the shining energy of social moments yet to come, body to body.

When you hear it on the dance floor, you can dance and smile, or dance and feel deep sentiment. It's up to you. The possibilities are endless as the vast ocean - let yourself go and become an observer of... who knows... perhaps a turning point in your life.
