After diversifying with the release of a couple of tapes over the last few years, BFDM’s little sis — Homemade Soundsystem — returns to what it knows what to do best: a two-track bass-heavy dancehall 7 inch. This one is courtesy of Parisian producer Krikor, who was already behind the outfit’s first release back in 2019. The well named Captivation Riddim starts off as a slow-but-rough compelling tune with haunting and trippy vocal samples creating an adequately driving mood. On the flip, Liberation Riddim is a percussive chopped-up party starter, ideal for changing gears with multiple BPM shifts and breaks throughout the track.

Lyas, short for 'Lágrimas y Arpas Salvajes', is a Buenos Aires-based duo comprising Catriel Nievas and Sáccea. Established in 2022, their music delves into ambient and shoegaze sonorities characterized by gentle, nuanced transitions, oscillating between leisurely tempos and intricate layers of noise. Their debut release 'Lazos' presents an assortment of sonic vignettes crafted from
guitars, vocals, samples, textures, and field recordings. It portrays sensory states of stillness and contemplation, physical sensations that refer to visited spaces and intertwined landscapes.
