Второй выпуск передачи left/fields. Автор — Андрей Морозов, создатель и куратор фестиваля Fields.

Слово ему: «Мне очень нравится наблюдать за тем, как с течением времени меняется эстетическое восприятие одних и тех же вещей. Любая пошлость, сотканная из штампов, может вдруг превратиться в кич и фетиш — если она делается осознанно, как намеренная стилизация. Вспомните: еще в нулевых мы все смеялись над пережитками нью-эйджа и воспринимали такую музыку как форму бытового сектантства или вовсе признак отсутствия вкуса. Но уже сегодня, в эпоху метамодерновой реальности, даже саундтрек к любованию облаками может приобрести свою — пускай и сиюминутную — художественную ценность.

Второй выпуск left/fields — это такой идиллический музыкальный пейзаж с проплывающими саксофонами, томными арпеджио и зефирной психоделией. В основе «цветовой палитры» — инструментальный и синтетический эмбиент, пастельных тонов фьюжн-джаз, аналоговая электроника и внежанровая экзотика. В общем, если соберетесь провести час времени, праздно наблюдая за облаками, не забудьте включить этот микс».

Stevie Whisper aka Stefan Unkovic is a DJ/producer, promoter and visual artist from Belgrade. 

Raised in the vibrant hard-core scene of the early '00s, he came to be one of the pillars of the city's underground culture whose reputation started spreading beyond through work with SuperSizeShe, a collective he formed as a vehicle for bringing the independent music scene closer to his hometown, booking acts such as Ariel Pink, Mac De Marco, Dirty Beaches, The Soft Moon among many others. 

In recent years he invested more energy in flirting with different genres of contemporary club-oriented music, being a regular in the DJ booths of Belgrade's most prominent underground clubs - 20/44 and Drugstore, putting his own Yes nights as well as various events with his Mystic Stylez crew and recently got released under the Common Thread immprint from Rotterdam. 

Summer of 2018 saw Yes expanding it's operations by launching a record label. The inaugural release is a split 12" from A/O and Andria, a collaborator on two tracks from the label's second release by Whisper himself titled Donkey Milk. 

Stevie is not just leaning towards the dancefloor, he is firmly on it but the DIY ethos is never out of the frame.

This number fifteen episode was recorded by lutin, whom you may know from our broadcastes and her "gradual change of pleasure" EP that was released on our label in April and has been provided on streamings recently. Nika Maurer – her name in real life – is an independent Russian electronic musician creating music in different genres. Her two main projects are lutin — weird dub experimental electronica and Lost Helmet — raw post-industrial sound with broken rhythms. In this mix she combined the sound of both projects. On that note we leave you with the mix and recommend to keep an eye on her music activity.

This time we had a friendly conversation with Oleksii Makarenko and Oleksandr Ushenko from Gasoline Radio — about starting a community radio in Ukraine right before the russian full-scale invasion, making culture in spite of bureaucracy, shellings, blackouts, burnouts, absence of funding (the list is not full). We also talk about the Спадок (Spadok) project: an expedition to Zakarpattya, which resulted in a release of a huge sample pack with traditional hutsul instruments, melodies, atmospheres, as well as a compilation of tracks made by young electronic musicians who recontextualized this material and gave it a new breath.
