Charlie Shagh is a DJ, producer and founder of YAMI, a platform dedicated to underground electronic music. Based in Ghent, Belgium, he explores the deeper sides of house, blending elements of deep, electro, tech, minimal, and progressive. His sets balance funkier grooves with darker, hypnotic tones, creating dynamic and evolving soundscapes. Originally influenced by disco, his style has developed into a more underground aesthetic while maintaining a strong sense of rhythm and movement. Charlie values the craft of digging and the timeless quality of physical records, which often shape his selections and productions.

Through YAMI, he brings this passion to life by selling carefully curated secondhand vinyl, organizing events, and showcasing both emerging and established artists who share the same love for underground sounds. Whether behind the decks, producing or building YAMI’s vision, Charlie is driven by a deep passion for music and the energy it creates.

A passionate and ferocious digger with a technical skill to shape sophisticated narratives, he has carved out a unique take on  trance-inducing late night club music, with an obsessive devotion and rare talent for threading together bold and intoxicating underground records bursting with his unique charm.

Born in Transylvania to a Hungarian family, long settled in London’s underground scene, living there since over a decade, he is now a resident at accomplished collective Cartulis and founder of The Comfort record label.

His dedicated individual nature as well as stand-out club melting performances, now see him deservedly spreading his wings all over world, where a genre-defying record bag full of hazy rhythms and electro futurism pushes at the boundaries of raw and classic dancefloor sounds, making him the perfect match for clubs and intimate afters alike.

Already a usual figure at established venues as Fold,  Starlane, Womb, Ring, Hoppetosse, Club der Visionaire and other parties through Paris, Barcelona, Seoul or South and North American continent, Asia and Australia; and festivals such as Dimensions."
