This song began with Stephen, who recorded it on his acoustic guitar and bass to a programmed drum track a few months ago. We were all thrilled to work on it, even though it sat in BandLab as a project for almost a month before Stephen separated the tracks, thus allowing us to trickle in our parts. JJ was first to jump on it, because he could before the tracks were separated, as his part is completely his idea. He added the organ that really set up the entire sound of both dominant sections of the song. 

  Ken was first up to the project once the tracks were replaceable, making the wild, driving beat his own. Inspired by both JPJ and Michael Ivins, Josh laid down his bass line, trying to match Ken's energy. Last, but not least, Mark jumped in with the rumbling timpani. He also added the flavorful harmonica, and unique jaw harp you hear throughout, as well. Finally, Mark added the hambone percussion at the end of the song, too, which we all consider a treat.

Stephen wasn't done with it, though, and still had some magic to sprinkle. He went in and added the howling electric guitar you hear prominently in the second main section. Also, he added the tempting intro with his acoustic guitar and electric mandolin that looks like a Telecaster guitar. 

  Once it was in the bag, we thought it appropriate for our master mixer Stephen to put it to bed, which he did in his always expert manner. Mark did help with the production, though, as he's very good with editing and spotting mistakes that need to be corrected.

  This is a gift from Stephen to all of us, and you, too. It to
ok a lot of teamwork to make the dream work, as always for Eclectic Collective. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Dear Listener, thanks for visiting my site. You'll find some Demo Songs, some finished, some are work in progress. Some have been recorded about 30 years ago I stopped recording for about 3 decades beeing busy with my job and family.  As there was always something missing so I started recording again in the winter of 23/24. All these recordings are far from being perfect but come from deep inside my heart. HS Recordings is a small label in the making, it was organized back in 1999, and behaved like a Phoenix bird. It soared with a musical opus, then fell to the ground. The label was organized by two friends Jan Slavov (Dj UNO) and Sergey Ptitsin (  ZARINE, S13, NIR300, PTITZYN ...) on the basis of the HAVANA CLUB institution in St. Petersburg. Life has been swept away by comrades around the world, but the idea of ​​the label is still alive and is being realized again. The label, as from the very beginning, is engaged in interesting projects  preferring electronic music. ZARINE was one of those who stood at the source in the 90s  Drum and bass in the culture, and today promotes broken rhythms in massy.Sozdav recording studio, has been mixed and the release material of other musicians of different napravleniy.Currently the label is looking for sponsorship to enter the market as the capable UNIT.

🇬🇧 - The world of music, constantly evolving, is becoming, in my opinion, an empty universe and an empty art form, and it's terrifying to see, because here too, it's the triumph of greed.

I listen to a lot of music, and in just a few months, I've clearly felt the effects of artificial intelligence, which creates music on demand for artists, album covers, music videos, etc.

Of course, everyone is free to submit to it or not, but the easy option always appeals to those who no longer want to make the effort, the pleasure of personal research, the pleasure of creating a work from scratch by a unique human being, in their own style.

What will remain of us, what will become of our creativity, our sensibilities, our emotions? There's none of that in artificial intelligence, and it's not progress for humans, just an aid, and that's what it should be: an aid, not an end in itself to quickly produce a bland and impersonal work. So, you like it... or you don't.

I'm not a great musician, but my music and my musical universe belong entirely to me, and I will continue on this path with the firm intention of RESISTANCE; it will be my essential virtue, as always.

🇫🇷 - Le monde de la musique, toujours en évolution, devient à mon avis un univers et un art vides, et c'est terrifiant à voir, car là aussi, c'est le triomphe de la cupidité.

J'écoute beaucoup de musique, et en quelques mois seulement, j'ai clairement ressenti les effets de l'intelligence artificielle, qui crée de la musique à la demande pour des artistes, des pochettes d'album, des clips, etc.

Bien sûr, chacun est libre de s'y soumettre ou non, mais la facilité séduit toujours ceux qui ne veulent plus fournir d'efforts, le plaisir de la recherche personnelle, le plaisir de créer une œuvre de toutes pièces par un être humain unique, dans son propre style.

Que nous restera-t-il, que deviendront notre créativité, nos sensibilités, nos émotions ? Il n'y a rien de tout cela dans l'intelligence artificielle, et ce n'est pas un progrès pour l'humain, juste une aide, et c'est ce que cela doit être : une aide, pas une finalité pour produire rapidement une œuvre fade et impersonnelle. Alors, on aime… ou pas.

Je ne suis pas un grand musicien, mais ma musique et mon univers musical m'appartiennent entièrement et je continuerai dans cette voie avec la ferme intention d'entrer en RÉSISTANCE, ce sera ma vertu incontournable, comme toujours.
