We're starting the 2016 leg of our RAWCUT Series with our favorite to date by the brilliant up-and-coming producer @morniyt from the UK. You may know him from earlier collaborations with our boy WYLN, on top of getting recent support from Plastician, Darker Than Wax, and many more. Needless to say we are glad to have stumbled upon him at the end of last year, and are quite excited about both this contribution to our Free Download series and his eventual EP.

Never resting on his laurels Wilkinson continues to assure himself a place at the very top of the drum & bass pile with another incredible single for Ram Records. Following on from ‘Automatic’ / ‘Hands Up!’ a massive single which received huge support from tastemakers around the world including Radio 1’s Annie Mac and MistaJam, Wilkinson is ready to drop ‘Need To Know’ and ‘Direction’ – two essential slices of D&B that will have dance floors jumping for months to come.

First up ‘Need To Know’ gets you into the mood with rolling jungle breaks and strummed guitars that pave the way for Iman’s beautiful vocals. And by the time Wilkinson unleashes his euphoric bassline and infectious melodies you’re begging for the release. Moving and progressing throughout, Wilkinson creates a stunningly simple but undeniably catchy track that will sound perfect on the dancefloor, over the radio or cranked up on your home stereo. This one has ‘Anthem’ stamped all over it!

But those of you who prefer your D&B a bit darker will not be disappointed either, as ‘Direction’ embraces all kinds of filth and then throws them back at you covered in bass! Intensely dark atmospherics open the way for a grimy Reese bass, vocal snippets and echoed sound FX that combine to create an absolute monster of a tune. ‘Direction’ is sure-fire dance floor material destined to destroy clubs whenever it’s dropped.

Yet again Wilkinson delivers two incredible slices of drum & bass that will undoubtedly be the soundtrack to many a night out this winter, proving himself to be one of the hottest producers on the block in the process.
