Oliver Schories - Govor (10 Years Parquet Recordings Compilation - out: 15th-July-2016)

Dreamy aesthetics intertwine with dancefloor athletics in Several Definitions’ You Are Not Alone EP. The title track emerges via a slow paced wandering bassline, making for a gradually immersive intro. Padded with ethereal synths and aerial whizzes, Alone’s dreaminess increases tenfold showcasing the artist’s crafty melodic side. Hatzler jumps in on the remix, kicking off with a bumping bassline from the get-go. Injecting bass and grit is one of his known production traits, and he manages to give Alone a straightforward, still dreamy yet solid groove appeal.

Cosmin TRG is a Berlin-based Romanian DJ/producer and owner of the auteur-driven audio-visual platform, Fizic. Cosmin TRG is best known for his diverse and iconoclastic releases on Hessle Audio, Hemlock, Running Back, Rush Hour, and 50Weapons. As a selector, his relentlessly hypnotic and seductive approach to House and Techno has earned him spots from Fabric, Berghain, Trouw to Sonar and more. Specifically,  ‘In Your Body’ on SPORTIV001 deftly contrasts stark dissonances occurring between a calming yoga narration and a pounding techno beat.

Mixset Compilation Vol.14 - RTRP

Reach Out Records is the first not-for-profit record label in Seoul’s underground electronic music scene. Working together with local producers, designers, and venues, Reach Out raises money for local charitable causes through the release of curated compilations and events.

After the successful release of their first EP which (in collaboration with Vans Korea & Pistil) raised just under $3,000, Reach Out Records is set for their next release. This 4-track EP is composed of tracks made by female Korean producers who have all made an imprint on the Seoul music scene and beyond.

All profits generated from the sale of the compilation on Bandcamp and from the release event will go directly to KUMFA (Korean Unwed Mothers’ Families Association). KUMFA is an organisation that was started by and for unwed mothers and their children as they are severely stigmatised in Korea. Women who have a child out of wedlock here often face difficulties in finding a job and are ostracised from their families. KUMFA has been working hard to rectify this negative perception of unwed mothers and to seek fair support from the government to help this marginalised group. They are in constant need of funds to provide shelter and to build a loving community for the unwed mothers and their children to thrive in.

The KUMFA EP features an array of different styles highlighting the full spectrum of creative talent coming from the underground scene in Korea. 

E3 is the director of ‘textures’, a Seoul-based media platform that focuses on increasing exposure for House & Techno in Seoul’s electronic music scene. Her debut outing on Reach Out Records is a late-night ravey stomper swirling with acid gurgles and hypnotic pulses.
