Dream Rock group hailing from New Paltz, NY.

New York-based producer, composer and sound artist Nick Zanca has been releasing music under the name Mister Lies since 2012. The project began in a Chicago dorm room with the release of a four-track EP, Hidden Neighbors – over the years, his music has inhabited a specific intersection between intimacy and atmosphere in a maximalist mosaic of field recordings, sample-based textures, glitchy synthetic soundscapes and nocturnal pop songs. Zanca currently lives in Queens and is a founding member of the band Quiet Friend.

  Are you familiar? Are you in the know? From the release of their 2010 demo to their 2011 Pressure to Succeed EP, Turnstile have walked a path all their own. A path that has quickly brought them a rabid following based off of their groove driven melodic energies and insane live shows. Having shared the stage with bands like Bane, Trapped Under Ice, Title Fight, Backtrack, and many more, Turnstile have continued to travel and grow. As many attendees to these events can attest, Turnstile is a group that when they play live, no one can sit still.  The spirit of Turnstile’s music is constantly creating converts by their vital and overpowering live shows.

Hyro The Hero is a modern-day rock star. A product of hip-hop, punk, and heavy-rock fusion, the Houston-bred artist leans into his influences boldly, creating a sound that is all his. It is at its most progressive on his new mixtape Kids Against the Monsters, a nuanced piece of reflective storytelling that paints the picture of frustration, fear, and anger at the current state of the world. With perceptive lyrics and aggressive instrumentals, the project channels the truth-telling of old school rap and the emotional rawness of 90s grunge. Hyro has received critical praise from the likes of BBC, Afropunk, and Alt Press, solidifying him as the type of artist that grabs listeners across cultures and brings them together for a movement. With this new project, that movement calls for all the “Kids” to face their monsters in the same spirit that all of Hyro’s music encapsulates – a celebration of the human experience, however flawed and ugly it may be.
