So with the 5AM Trio, we've been talking a lot about how to make more trap-style tunes to play in our sets. One day I was at the bouldering gym and a marimba melody popped into my head along with a break-beat style drum groove and thought "ooh that's hot", so I ran home and sketched-up the initial idea for "Heat". After jamming on it a bit with the Trio, as it often does, it turned from a simple, singular idea into a dynamic journey through trap, house, and breaks that will be really fun to explore in future live sets.

This is my liquid DnB bootleg of James Hype’s original rave house track. I’ve taken the high-energy, dancefloor feel of the original and reworked it into a smooth, rolling liquid drum and bass tune, keeping the emotion while adding deep basslines, crisp drums, and atmospheric layers for a fresh twist
