Hey everybody! Welcome to this week’s Weekly Wisdom. I'm down here in Boca Raton, Florida with a bunch of great friends and we're on our fifth day of Tony Robbins' “Date With Destiny”. The guy is insane. We've been going until 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 in the morning and start the next day, but it's been unbelievable.

And there was one thing at this event that totally affected my life and I realized the universe sometimes speaks to us and tells us what to do because we need something so desperately. So I am incredibly glad I'm here. But what am I sharing that with you? 

Today I want to share that “it's you…it's you.” And what I mean by that is, I don't know if you're struggling in a personal relationship or at your job or with a friend or spouse or loved one or family member.

But in life sometimes we have an oppressor. We have someone that doesn't treat us right. We have people or surroundings that are just not meant to be supportive, to reach our goals, to live that life we want to have, the relationship we want, the love we want, the finances, the job, the income, and all those things. Right?

And so many times we think we have to change the people around us. And the truth is some people do need to change, but the fact is we can't make people change. So the only thing we can do is change ourselves. To be that fully alive and conscious, bright light that focuses on solutions, that person that has an abundance mindset and doesn't get drug down by the negative news or tough life or destructive friends.

And being here just made me think so much and realize that in life the best we can do is be our BEST US. And you know, in some cases throughout my life when I've done that I've lost friends, I've lost people in my life, because they couldn't handle that shining light, that optimism, that abundance mindset, that "I'm going for it no matter what and no one's going to stop me" mindset. Some people didn’t respond well when I didn't want to talk about the negative news or what’s wrong with the world.

And I lost some of those people. But I gained twice as many incredible people. And that’s how life goes sometimes… when we have the ability to stop trying to fix others, and focus on changing ourselves and making us the BEST US, we sometimes lose friends, but we gain BETTER people in the process. So that's my message for the week… let's focus on US this week and be the BEST we can be.
