Obsessed with mixing bass drums, recording percussion, and sampled instruments, Italian producer Fango strives to be a virtuous perfectionist on any production within his reach.

Fango's newest EP has already received strong report, in which it was already spun by Gilles Peterson via his weekly Worldwide show on BBC, supported by French legend Laurent Garnier as well as Dixon, Mano Le Tough and Jackmaster. His approach to creating the EP has been regarded as an "a long insular trip", where he reflects "down into the depths of his own soul".

There isn’t much music on the musical spectrum which Englishman Chris Barratt aka Eagles & Butterflies doesn’t draw inspiration from, and it shows in his productions which can range from downtempo to techno. This diversity has lead to the Englishman releasing on some of the world’s most celebrated labels including Get Physical, Innervisions, Noir Music and Southern Fried. Earlier this year he also signed a couple of productions to Bedrock records which included his re-work of DK8’s classic techno banger ‘Murder was the Bass’. There is no doubt that Eagles & Butterflies are starting to confirm that he is an artist with some serious longevity, and his Balance Selections podcast is one that will sit with the listener for while, emotive without ever being too obvious. Fango's got another body defying 'Viscera 2/3' EP via Degustibus Music. After the first chapter through the interior organs, he turns his attention to a sliced up, deranged take on the cortex of the central nervous system.

With that said, here comes Cerebellum, Nervum and Cortex, three delicate operations of surgery on the inner workings of Fango’s head. His previous release 'Rectum' on Viscera 1/3 received strong support from artists such as Laurent Garnier, Dixon, Mano Le Tough, Tale of Us, Solomun, and Gilles Peterson - and was a huge summer hit. 

The second round of his three part release conceives on the physicality of music - creating tracks that pass straight through the heart, swirl in the stomach, and... so on. For this section - Fango invites us to explore the windy curves of the human brain - all in good fashion to instil nervous breakdowns across the planet. Live long and prosper (without your head exploding).

Viscera 2/3 will be available July 29th via Degustibus Music.
