Body And Soul

Thailo is a respected violinist from Utrecht. He loves to play Swing, Gypsy Jazz, Bossa Nova and Tango with a modern twist, inspired by heroes like Stéphane Grappelli, Jean-Luc Ponty and Aleksey Igudesman.

Thailo studied classical violin at the Utrecht conservatory. After his graduation as a violin teacher he specialised in performing chamber music and solo work until he decided to broaden his knowledge with pop music, folk and country. On his musical journey, whilst accompanying many songwriters, he quickly learned to improvise solos and fell in love with playing ‘old school’ jazz.

On October 27, 2016, he released his first solo jazz EP Body and Soul.
