The arrangement is inspired by the Chris Thomas King (guitar) / Dan Tyminski (vocal) version of the song released on the soundtrack of the Coen Brothers movie O Brother Where Art Thou?

Seeking a "live to tape" sound, Ray and Ian recorded their parts with Ray on guitar and vocals and Ian on dobro and backing vocals.  Tom Hardey, Perry Yeldham and Ben Walter of Front Porch Studios did the editing/mixing (Tom & Perry) and mastering (Ben).

Cover of the Dan Fogelberg song AS THE RAVEN FLIES from his album SOUVENIRS, released in 1975. This recording is part of the Teresa Project, a musical tribute to my late sister who passed from cancer a few years ago. She was a big fan of Fogelberg. In a sad twist of fate, they both passed away from cancer at the age of 56.

Live studio recording of the loose affiliation of musicians know as Voodoo Llama based in Boston's south shore region.  The session took place on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Front Porch Studios, Abington, MA, USA

This album of songs was recorded in the style of the classic series of albums released by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band called Will The Circle Be Unbroken Volumes 1, 2 and 3.  The style is marked by live in-studio performances with no overdubs and all flaws and flubs left-in.  The style also includes fly-on-the-wall between songs chatter among the musicians, allowing for a "you were there" kind of feel.
