Zach Steinkamp's Max for Life tools are pretty dope...like Simulscrub...which i used for a little guitar loop mangling. Also his KS-Synth was used and has that great wide distorted sound. Go check out the stuff he has made !

After thoroughly enjoying a Ned Rush podcast, inspiration struck and i decided to sample his joyful sounds. Hence this jam was born.

Our dear Anthony made a rack called 'Speed Saturator' in the Mixing & Mastering' course in lesson 9.5. He also offers an ableton set in that lesson...which inspired me to play with. The speed saturator came in handy and added a bit of distortion to the original sound.
Hope this adds to his infectious reminder to remain 'stoked' !

The faint scent of chemicals still clung to the air years after the metal behemoth had stopped operating. Deep in the bowels of the great machine, the ghostly rhythmic whirs and clicks of machinery could still be heard in the walls like a faint heartbeat.

Continuing again with my Early Spring Cleaning Project, where I will post each day one of my unreleased, mostly unmixed, sometimes abrupt ending, experimental, nearly complete tracks.

The story for this one: Back in September of 2023 I was really leaning into the Splice Stacks feature they added at the time, and a few of the samples here were from one of those tests. I never really released it because, generally, I don't put out high energy tracks like this a lot. I'd love to, but sometimes my brain needs a break from it, too. I shelved it and now you get to hear it! 

Let me know if you like it, if you're keeping track this is #4 so tomorrow will be something different! It may be shorter, it may be mixed differently, and it could have VOCALS again! Believe it or not I'm not anti-vocals, I just don't NEED vocals to get the point across. I've got oohs and ahhs over the years in some tracks but I digress...
