This is an arrangement of the Gnarls' Barkely song, 'Crazy' that I particularly love.
It features beautiful guitar playing by Jesse Elias and bass playing by Thomas Nold.
It's a field recording so not super high fidelity, but I'm proud of the performance.  This tune has become part of our regular repertoire.

I've been so sad about the horrible attack in Orlando this past week:  really upset by how angry and violent this country has become;  how divided and frightened we all seem to be. How even good friends can't agree on issues like gun control;   After how far gay rights have come in recent times,  how incredibly far we still have to go to have a world that accepts all people's lifestyle decisions, as long as they don't harm anyone.

Improvising this tonight seemed to be the only thing that made me feel better because I finally was able to cry playing it.  

This is for all of the victims and every one that they touched.
We will not forget Orlando!

ORLANDO

Dedicated in loving memory of the late great Johnny Cash for his life changing year 2002 reinterpretation of the song "Hurt" by Trent Reznor from the great Nine Inch Nails album "The Downward Spiral" from 1994.

This take was one of several ongoing home studio recordings experimenting with the gorgeous sounding UK designed and made Aston Microphones specifically the Aston Spirit model for this song.

Vocal was captured live with the Aston Spirit Microphone with Analysis Plus Genesis MIc Cable into TC Helicon VoiceLIve3X. For Guitar, I played my Godin Multiac Steel Duet feeding direct to my Oopah Loopah rig running the following devices; Eventide Mixing Link --  Modified (Stealth Comp Mod) TC Helicon VoiceLive3X, Boss CS3, Eventide H9 Max, H9 Core, Space into Mackie VLZ4 802 Submixer to the Tascam US2000 Interface into Cubase 6.5 64bit on Win10. 

I use the Mackie Big Knob Studio Command System which helps me get acquainted with the captured live mixes played back from a choice between the Dynaudio BM6 MkIII + BM14S Sub and the Dynaudio BM6 and a pair of small Altec Lansing PC speakers. For tracking I use the PSB Headphones.

My name is Faisal Mahmood Khan AKA "that man from east", i am a composer/sound designer/filmmaker/experimental guitarist/looping artist of textures and electronics, music is my passion and film-making is my living, had a long journey in music been through many phases, im a multi instrumentalist/vocalist though i hate my vocals :), i use ableton live 9 for sound design/logic pro for commercial work mostly /reaper for easy sound editing currently  and reason for just synths and effects as sort of a hardware synth running   on a separate laptop, there is no one way i choose to make music the track can start from any sound to a complete something else, i use BERNA from http://www.giorgiosancristoforo.net/softwares/berna/ a very interesting 50s hardware emulator modular, i have a lot of out gear like effect pedals multi effects loopers, amps tube and small i like running sound through anything and usually like to commit to the sound while recording i dont like perfecting everything and likes leaving that human touch and mistakes, i dont use midi composing much anymore usually plays everything live maybe re route a track in ableton record it as audio and than correct maybe a bit of timing on drums by warping in sample window, it is my dream to make music for films, games, and perform a very unique live looping/experimental jazz/rock improvised/modular/guitar/synths/vocals sound manipulated ambient avant performance in festivals and for audiences across the world one day
