Calgarian Liam Graham AKA Velvet Separation was born into a family where rigorous musical education was the key that could open any door to his future. Logging countless hours of time listening to a plethora of classic rock albums as a child, the 
melodics and intrigue of the genre eventually led him to into a broad and more experimental world of music as a teen. In 2004, he began experimenting with sound and recording on a four track he inherited from his older step brother. His early production influences included Moby, Interpol and Fleet Foxes but later shifted to artists like Com Truise, White Lies, Neon Indian & Wu Lyf as he discovered a taste for synth.
Although he admits that he doesn’t stick to one genre in the studio, it is clear that he has found a niche within Deep Dubstep as well as Drum & Bass. His production in these genres has developed a distinct sound, fusing traditional breakbeats with intricate drum work as well as always having at least a touch of synth.
A key member of the Noctilux Collective in Calgary, Graham is contributing to a strong, although still growing, music scene and has had his first official release with Liquid Brilliants on March 2016.

Formed in 2011 by Hong Kong born singer/multi-instrumentalist Louise Schwarz and Wiltshire based drummer/vocalist Jake Cheesman after seeing a Melt-Banana concert. Budada began as an Anti-Folk/lo-fi duo playing shows across the Southwest & Wales while also gigging for two months around Hong Kong.

Augmenting to a more traditional four-piece Budada added Lance Thorman on Bass and Jack Ward on Guitar the band became something much more powerful. Budada’s style contains a range of elements, including indie rock, psychedelia and noise pop, whilst they firmly maintain their dark folk edges producing extremes of beautiful acoustic bliss to storms of electric energy making them unique and gripping to audiences.

At the start of 2013 Budada released their debut full length LP ‘blackpeppercowboybone’, which was recorded in a factory on an industrial estate. After the success of their self-released debut, Budada released a new EP ‘Scum Rises to the Top’ in Febuary 2014 on Mandala, Produced by Dominic Bailey (Thought Forms, Port Erin, Heymoonshaker) and Jozeph Chowles (The Daturas). Also releasing videos for 'Mainshock' and 'She Ain't Blue'.
