From roots in electronica, Meems music has gradually evolved into a more organic sound, borrowing heavily from funk, soul, jazz, disco, reggae, hip hop & boogie.

With 5 critically acclaimed releases under his belt, he has also remixed numerous artists including Mr Scruff (featuring Roots Manuva), and the ARIA award winning track ‘Sweetness and Light’ by Itchie & Scratchie.

Meem has performed live at some of Australia's biggest music festivals including The Big Day Out, Sydney Festival and Parklife. Meem has also supported many international heavyweights such as Thievery Corporation, Groove Armada, Jamie Lidell, M.I.A, People Under The Stairs, Girl Talk and Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings. DJ Soup adds extra doses of sleaze to to the already sweaty old spice flavours of Steve Bender's Final Thing. This is druggy boogie at it's finest retouched by one of Sydney's best. Enjoy! 

 Soup was the chief music provider for local break dancers (The Energy Wizards) because he couldn't hold up his own body weight . It was during his third year at High school he began fiddling with overdubbing on two tape decks and scratching on his Dad's stereo. Soup learnt about the dazzling new music form hip-hop and began developing production skills on crude sampling equipment in luxurious 8 bit, his computer had an amazing 2 megabytes of memory. He began digging for samples and was mostly enthralled by Rhythm and Blues, Soul, early electronic music and spoken word records.

For much of the past two decades,  Paris Pompor has been eeking out a living as a freelance music journo, whilst also running the Groovescoooter label. The label began as a radio show on Sydney's Eastside FM back in 1997 (continuing to this day) and in betwixt, Paris has also presented shows on SBS (Alchemy) and FBi (The Album Show). In between regular DJ gigs around town, and hosting his weekly show "Jumping the Gap" on Sydney's 2ser, he found time to turn in a little funky treat for us that we hope you like as much as we do.
