Welcome back to another monthly artist guest mix at the Disco Data Podcast. This time around we're switching things up with a lesser known guest DJ. After all, our aim is to get the good music to your ears and this guy has been catching our eye recently.
 
Based out of Eugene, Oregon, Rortron started DJing and producing at the beginning of 2018. Since then, he has fallen in love with providing good vibes on the dance floor and in your headphones and home speakers. He has DJ’d at places like Sessions Music Hall, Sam Bond’s, Cowfish, Thinking Tree Spirits, and many others in his local area.

His enthusiasm for dancing and appreciating amazing shows has shaped him to always make his performances memorable. He realizes it’s about the people in the crowd and creating a selection of inviting vibes that make people want to come back for more. 

Rortron is keenly aware that people come to shake their asses and have a good time. He is eternally grateful for the opportunity to DJ and spread joy.

Joints n' Jams Live Stream Special

Well, to put it plainly what a shit year !

Life has it's ups and downs but this year has been a real crash and burn. I myself had a major health scare which led to me changing my lifestyle for the better and the effects of this are starting to pay off for me for the better. I thought i would end the year with a free tune sampling the vocal styles of Mustafa Akbar and adding my sample based funky music to it.

I made this tune quite a while ago but never thought it fitting to put it up as a free download out of respect for the artists involved. I got the vocal stems off Jon (RIP) from Fort Knox Five quite a while ago when he used to contact me to promote Fort Knox Five stuff through my site Breakzlinkz. Hope you guys dig the remix i made and let's hope 2021 heads in a better direction for all of us ! x Ross
