John Massey - Broken Defense (The Automatic Message Remix)

YA Z AN is a Palestinian DJ and electrical engineer based in Berlin. Beginning his musical journey in Ramallah, Palestine, he cultivated a passion for music and played a role in fostering the local electronic scene, even though techno was not predominant there. Influenced by Berlin's underground culture, he formed a deep connection with hypnotic, minimal, and dub techno, blending industrial elements with his unique touch of "fluffy techno."

Dr. Nojoke is a producer, performer and musician– his live sets continually bring new and unique sounds to the table, a combination of field-recordings, self-made sounds, and highly conceptual production that redefine the way we understand electronic music.
A Berlin native and leader in directional minimal techno (or “clikno” as he describes it), Dr. Nojoke is a master of rethinking ordinary musicality and procuring new uses for the everyday.

Dr.Nojoke´s live show may feature instruments such as radio, crushed plastic bottles and souvenirs as Dr.Nojoke celebrates the joy of finding special sounds in everyday objects not usually appreciated for their musicality.

Since 2005 performances in clubs and on festivals in Brazil, South Africa, Canada, Sweden, UK, Italy, Russia, USA, Ukraine, Belarus, Romania, Moldova, Slovenia, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Spain, Portugal, France and throughout Germany.

More than 150 releases (EPs/albums/remixes/contributions) on labels such as CLIKNO, Archipel, Goldmin Music, Sleep is Commercial, Klangscheiben, UNOIKI, Pluie/Noir, Destroy All Monsters, Minim.all, Autist, Eintakt, Resopal ...

Jino K is a Lebanese-born, Montreal-based DJ carving his sound between the deep rhythms of house and the raw energy of techno. Inspired by legends like Ryan Elliott, Victor Calderone, and Danny Tenaglia, he blends groove and grit to create hypnotic journeys on the dancefloor. Founder of Montreal Techno Cats and Black Sunrise MTL, Jino K is pushing underground culture forward one beat at a time.

Vancouver-based Trevor Jacobson and Tanya Goehring are The Automatic Message. Since forming The Automatic Message in 2006, Trevor and Tanya have been producing dark, off-kilter techno and supporting it with their own visual interpretations, which, in line with their music, creates a tremendous sense of unease and tension.

The Automatic Message works closely with From 0-1, a Seattle/Bay Area-based label, releasing various EPs and remixes, including collaborations with co-label head Milkplant and most recently with Brendon Moeller (AKA The Echologist) and have been charted by the likes of  Speedy J, Joey Beltram, Dave Clarke and Ben Klock. One of their recent releases saw them representing Vancouver on Berlin's Reclaim Your City (RYC) label. Their song “Perihelion” received a lot of attention because of its cross-genre appeal. It was featured on a mix by electronic music icon & R&S label-founder Renaat Vandepapeliere for Electronic Beats. 

The Automatic Message’s intriguing videography and dark style of editing has caught the eye of some of the biggest names in the techno world. CLR label boss Chris Liebing brought them onboard to create, produce and direct videos for Tommy Four Seven, Black Asteroid and Drumcell. The Automatic Message's music videos for CLR and for their own music have been screened internationally at various music video festivals and was nominated for a Berlin Music Video Award in 2014. Additionally, The Automatic Message run their own annual music video festival in Vancouver –  RENDER: The Vancouver International Music Video Festival. 

Blending these two art forms, The Automatic Message melds their auditory and visual works to create unique live performances. They juxtapose the different characters that appear in their videos to tell new narratives. Since The Automatic Message debuted live at the 2008 New Forms Festival in Vancouver, BC, they have performed across North America and Germany. They made their European debut at Berghain's Klubnacht in July 2013. They were back again in July 2015. Both trips were made possible by the Canada Council for the Arts' music travel grant program.
