Electronic duo The Bernabela Project is a half-Dutch and half-American husband and wife team of Ramiro Bernabela and Nicole Simpkins Bernabela. Drawing elements from their '80s upbringing helped shape their sound to have a slightly retro feel, but using the latest software and techniques gives it a modern touch. They also use a lot of hardware in their productions, especially drum machines and synthesizers, giving them a warm and organic feel. Combining their musical interests together has given them a unique sound while producing everything from house, deep house, downtempo, electronica, to funky sexy disco dance grooves.

Wer ich bin ? Vinylist aus Leidenschaft und ein Mensch der elektronische Musik und die daraus resultierenden eindrücke jeglicher klanglicher Vielfalt, Rhythmik , Dynamik uvm. liebt und anderen dank des Künstlers Werkes, einen Eindruck jener Vielfalt wiedergeben kann .

Dieser Spaß an der Freude begleitet mich nun mehr als 25 Jahre, auf diesem Weg habe ich Menschen kennengelernt die genauso bekloppt und noch bekloppter sind oder waren und einfach lieben was sie tun. 

Der DJ Boom lässt schmerzlich vergessen, worum es eigentlich schon immer ging, Musik!

Now living in Detroit, Ramiro Bernabela was born outside of Rotterdam, Netherlands and moved to Groningen when he was 10 years old. He developed a love for music at an early age, playing his first synthesizer at age 12. He began DJing at age 18 and played at parties and clubs in Groningen and Amsterdam for many years. He was the Saturday night resident DJ in De Golden Arm, the biggest dance club in northern Netherlands, for 7 years. He was a regular guest DJ at De Melkweg in Amsterdam, and was a monthly resident DJ at Amsterdam's famous afterparties in Club Zoo in the early 2000s. His music style can be described as deep house with some funk and techno twisted in.

In 1998 he started learning about music production and making special edits to use in his DJ sets. Since then, he has been perfecting his production skills and building up his studio. He uses various drum machines and analog synthesizers in his productions to give them an organic sound. Ramiro has a very individual style of combing many different types of elements together and not following the standard genre rules, giving his productions a unique and interesting sound. 2015 was a great year production-wise for Ramiro, having 2 original tracks in the Top 100 at both Beatport and Traxsource, "How Low Can You Go" featuring Mr. V., and "Life After House," a collaboration with house legend Roland Clark. Ramiro is currently living in Detroit and working on producing his debut full-length album that is expected to be released in late 2017.
