Its been such a pleasure to be able to remix this tune from one of my biggest influences both in jazz and electronic music @robarousal and from one of my favorite albums of all time: Digilog Pt I!!!
My goal as a musician have always been to fuse classical, jazz and electronic music; and this is the very first tune where I truly incorporate piano solo arrangements, improvisation and I go from my most melodic to the hardest of my electronic sides :)
I'm quite happy with the result, so really hope you all enjoy it!!!

I'm very excited to release this tune as long as TWD its been my favorite TV show for a big while! It accompanied me during some of the darkest moments of my life and always reminded me that no matter how bad things are doing for you; because there's always a reason to stand up and keep pushing!
I think it is a masterpiece on human psychology and one of the most enjoyable series ever; so I just wanna pay some homage now that it just ended!

Chubba78 & Sighless - Agrostis (the Big Blind's Vision)

This is an all original sound design experiment, because as a blind producer I've had a ton of software limitations and struggled to find an effective workflow. So I   manually mapped an external controller to effectively manage a synth for the very first time and I could mess around with parameters to make my own cool sounds with no presets.
It's all made with an FM synth and some processing; and I'm so happy with the result. So really hope you all enjoy :)
The tune itself is a journey through how the primary inner flame of a human heart slowly gets colder and darker because of the freezing shallowness of this world; controlled by technology and absolutely disconnected from the most pure essence of human love.
It resists and fights against darkness, but although its power seems stronger than the voracious obscureness of this hostile lands; it looses that primary innocence. And that will never come back again.
The Eternal Flame keeps shining! But bigger the light, bigger the shadow…

This album goes through the inner journey of realizing that nothing from outside yourself it’s gonna ever bring you peace.
For some reason, we all seem to disconnect from our most pure heart essence and try to look for that same thing outside. We try to recover that strength and confidence finding someone to love us, trying to achieve our goals and looking for succession; but none of those seem to work long term and we seem to feel even emptier and more sad at the end of the day, when everything is quiet.
We frenetically run from our shadow as much and as fast as possible even though the mind keeps calling our attention harder and noisier, till it finally takes over and we have no chance to ignore it any more.
Once we’re in front of our biggest fear, we still struggle to look at it face to face and we keep asking our gods for some guide; but even them tell us that we have to look at it straight into their eyes. So then we realize that apparently scary demon was just our inner kid being afraid of growing up.
We have to calm them then telling that becoming an adult is not that of a deal; it’s just the art of not giving a fuck about peoples opinion, making your own decisions and keep pushing no matter if you fail or if you get it! So we finally stop looking for anyone or anything! We finally realize that we’re just complete on our own! But to fully love ourselves we need to embrace our darkness, so that primary spark of love can come out again brighter and more powerful than ever, not negating its inseparable shadow. Its own dual nature. So that we can finally free fly by!

A late night random jam in my ankle, namesake and mentor's house!
It's so beautiful because my very first meaningful musical experience ever was about 8 years ago; when I had barely started to play some piano and I had absolutely no idea on how to improvise. But I came there and Santi started to play whatever instrument, so I just sat down on the piano and I started to follow him with no particular direction. And we could stay tripping like that for 3 hours at the minimum... That was the moment I knew I wanted to became a real musician!
It's so fun to see that we can maintain this same freedom and taste of playing a silly game but now that I've studied jazz and piano for a big while :)

 I’m incredibly excited and honored to finally release the culmination of this long long journey!
Since the earliest beginnings of my passion for music, I fully fell in love with electronics! With the infinite sound possibilities, the limitless creativity and the lack of stablished rules at all… And I had the certainty that it was the vibration of my whole generation. The soundtrack for this moment of history!
But somehow I always felt like if something was missing. Some kind of breath, of inaccuracy, of swing…
So then I suddenly discovered Jazz! And I found there a feeling that was so truly alive! So spontaneous! Free from the limits of the mind. And it instantly became my part time lover!
Once there in the middle between my two beloveds; I saw cristal clear that I wanted to make electronic music; but also to have people playing in real time! Listening, interacting, creating something fresh in the moment that couldn’t ever be repeated…
So after studying jazz piano improvisation  and electronic music production for about 6 years; I had the great lucky break to meet these two amazingly talented sailers who arrived my boat and joined me on this trip to the unknown: George Henriquez and Mathieu Popinot! A pair of the most egoless musicians I’ve ever known and with the determination to make whatever kind of music without any prejudices! So we founded together an electro-acoustic trio and created an immersive experience from the roots of jazz to the depths of dubstep!
I always loved the concept of a jazz standard as just a little seed that could grow into almost anything else; and I modestly had the idea of making the most iconic tunes of the EDM era to become the new standards! So I took some of the music from my idols that changed my mind and arranged it to be playable as a trio, leaving a big gap for improvisation!
Shout out for the fathers of the whole game and the ones who first pushed my curiosity further from just electronics!

Introducing The Big Blind Trio Project (Official Trailer Audio) “Full Video In Description”

I'm so excited to finally drop a piano solo record and this one in particular as long as it's the most challenging thing I've ever done as a pianist!!!
Back in 2021 because of my jazz degree final exam; my dear teacher German Kucich sent me this crazy tune and challenged me to transcribe it!
I immediately fell in love with it, so I started right away just with my phone cause I was out of town hahahaha...
During the last course year I transcribed every single note while GK guided me on interpretation nuances and trained me to get that og Brazilian swing!
It was a crazily beautiful journey and I can't be more thankful for him to have been the best piano mentor I could ever ask for!
So after a year of work, I got to play it live as part of my degree concert together with The Big Blind Trio guys and I can't actually manage to think I did it nowadays!
I found lately this oneshot midi recording from one of my trainings and I went crazy about it; so deff wanted to share it!
Also shout out to my man @mirko_nisenson for lending me his smooth virtual piano so that it's not the craziest piano tune with the crappiest piano sound ever lmao.

So my 2024 Showcase is finally here!!!
Since my USLS LP I’ve been contacting a bunch of awesome producers and even some of my biggest idols and the amount of love, support and respect I’ve received is absolutely surreal!!! There are no words to describe the joy that feeling to start becoming a part of the music community gives me!!! But what so ever: Thank You All So Much!!!
This last few months I’ve been involved in a bunch of amazing collaborations with all kinds of artists, exploring a ton of new genres and vocal techniques; And we started a whole album project together with my brother and absolute favorite vocalist in Spain @mirko_nisenson: ‘Madness Child’. So I couldn’t wait for you to listen to what we got so far)

A blind producer? Like: Blind blind?
Yea! Shanti Vega AKA The big blind barely sees and he makes music with a frenetic talking computer!!! How the hell he does it? IDK ask him…
With a jazz piano training, a classical music background and a soulish passion for electronic music; this artist brings a take on the EDM scene that incorporates elements from all genres, but being none of them at all.
Based in Spain; he shows quite a versatile career as a keyboardist and producer; oscillating from all kinds of electronics to pop & rap vocals, acid bebop soloing, smooth jazz piano arrangements or even all improvised Avantgarde music.
He also leads The Big Blind Trio: A band project that covers from the roots of blues and modern forms of jazz to electro-acoustic arrangements for the electronic music pioneers such as Koan Sound, Haywyre or Savant:

He made his first appearance with his ‘Looking For Soundland’ project in 2019: A record conceived as a film without image; and then focused on studying the professional jazz piano degree in the EMC in Madrid; earning experience as a live performer in varied formats like ambience smooth jazz for background in formal events, jazz fusion dance bands, big band, duo comping singers and even leading his own jam session (The big Blind & Friends) as the resident musician. He also participated as a keyboardist and arranger for studio recordings with projects like The Estupendos or Chris and the Beats.
After finishing his studies in 2021: He got more serious into producing. Getting to work on the music for some of the most promising Spanish artists like Edna Free, Sol Bontempy, Paraíso Calero or Granuxi; while continued his personal experimentation with diverse electronic genres.
In 2023, he signed his debut album release with the brand new emerging label @wearesilkenwood with a whole vocalist project himself: His Unrequited Self Love Story LP! A full length album that oscillates from the hardest forms of bass music to the mellowest harmonies. And he have also recently released on other well known labels of the underground such as @intrinzic-music, @phono-records & @novelchapters

‘My biggest goal in music is to fuse the sound possibilities of electronics with the freedom of jazz improvisation, the transcendence of classical music, the easiness of pop, the punch of hip hop and maybe also the rage of rock? Who knows where this journey will take me hahaha... Wish me luck!
