ポスト・シューゲイズの俊英、ゴキロウチことLily Furyの最新作である『Hinemosphere』を公開いたしました。

宇宙で行方不明になった有人宇宙船に取り残されたふたり、人間の少女とアンドロイドが、滅びまでの時間を"あなた"の横顔を愛しながら、静かに消えてゆくまでの物語を抱える、ポスト・シューゲイズとして、近未来都市遠景の音楽としての美しい結晶であり、現代の音楽シーンにおける、もしくは百合を主題として掲げる音楽における、現時点でも類を見ない達成です。

ポスト・シューゲイズとThe Novembers、The Spellbound、toeがひとつの音楽の石として交錯し、強い叙情性を持って高密度に展開する音楽。周回軌道から離れた、虚空の果に向かうふたりの物語は、ひとしく彼の音楽の、シーンから見た特異性と比喩的に重なる。

美しい、だが滅びの物語としての百合、つまりひとが営むなかでも最も崇高な関係性である二者関係の物語がポスト・ディストピアSFとして響き、ポスト・メロディック・ハードコアとしての熱情、ポスト・ロックへの更新、ポスト・インターネット・ミュージックの最新形、前述したポスト・シューゲイズの幻景を青年の叙情が縫い止め、ひとつの愛の物語として、新しく美しい音楽として響かせる瞬間を是非ご体験下さい。

We are releasing "Hinemosphere", the latest work by Lily Fury, aka Gokirouchi, a post-shoegaze masterpiece.

It is a beautiful crystallization of post-shoegaze and "Kinmirai-Toshi Enkei（近未来都市遠景）" that tells the story of two people, a human girl and an android, left behind on a manned spaceship lost in space, who quietly disappear while loving the profile of "you" for a time until their demise. It is an achievement unparalleled at this point in time in the contemporary music scene, or in music with Yuri(=百合) as its subject matter.

Post-Shoegaze, The Novembers, The Spellbound, and toe intermingle as a single musical flower, and the music unfolds with strong lyrical intensity. The story of two people leaving their orbits and heading for the fruit of the void overlaps metaphorically with the singularity of his music from the point of view of the scene.

The story of the Yuri as a beautiful but perishing tale, in other words, the story of the most sublime relationship between two people, resonates as post-dystopian science fiction,

The lyricism of a young man sews together the passion of post-melodic hardcore, the update to post-rock, the latest form of post-Internet music, and the aforementioned post-shoegaze vision,
We hope you will experience the moment when the lyricism of a young man stitches together the aforementioned post shoegaze vision and makes it resonate as a new and beautiful music, as a love story.

文学ジャンルとしての「百合」という言葉を聞いた時、ほとんどの人は恐らく GL(ガールズ・ラブ)のことを考えるでしょう。しかし、GL は百合という概念の単なる一側面に過ぎません。親密な関係がそこに見出せるのであれば、その繋がりが友情であれ、血縁であれ、因縁であれ、一様に「百合である」と定義することが可能なのです。つまり百合という言葉/概念は女性同士の多様な関係性の中から、共通に見られる強い感情を発見する営みであると考えることができます。

もしこれと同じことが音楽にも言えるとしたらどうでしょう。例えばオルタナティヴメタルやメロディックハードコアやなどの動的な音楽と、ポストロックやアンビエントなどの静的な音楽が完全に平行線であるということは無く、それらを共通の価値観でもって再定義することは可能です。遠泳音楽や近未来都市遠景の概念は、それらから「手が届かないもの」や「存在しない景色/記憶」への憧憬といったイメージを抽出し、見事体系化するに至ったのだと認識しています。本作はそうした音楽と百合の共通部分を意識して制作しました。アンドロイドの少女によるモノローグと、それに追随するかたちで展開される楽曲を通して、彼女たちの歩みを追体験し、自身にとって「存在しない記憶」としての感情の揺らぎなどを想起していただければ幸いです。
最後に、本作を形にする上で私自身がイメージとして最も参考にした偉大な詩の冒頭を引用して終えたいと思います。

For the better part of a decade, Baths' elegiac dance floor anthems have embodied F. Scott Fitzgerald's adage about how first rate minds are those that can hold two opposing ideas in their head at the same time. His latest "Wistful (Fata Morgana)” masters this propulsive duality, balancing strobe light-ready BPMS with emotional pathos. It's the sort of song a celestial deity would want play at the club after a crushing breakup. The mysterious nexus between loneliness and euphoria. 

If the best pop music (and art) contains contradictions, the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born Will Wiesenfeld has mastered the art of combining profound sadness with sweaty catharsis. With his seraphic voice, he meditates on "cloudy harbor vapor," a breeze forlornly running fingers through your hair, and the melancholy of having empty conversations with the wind. His loved one is "still out on a boat somewhere," inevitably fated to never return. The only solace is the melody, the beat, and the song itself that allows you to drift off into the infinite distance.
