Happy to share a new recording from Kater Blau, Berlin. 

People fly all over the world to go to Kater for a reason. It’s a club focused on the music, focused on the moment, focused on the experience. It attracts the right people, who go for the right reasons. I love playing there. 

This lets me truly DJ in the moment. No thinking, only feeling. And this recording is a slice of what I’m trying to express through music, sitting outside a box: not just house, not just organic, not just progressive, not just melodic house/techno, not just tech house (or deep tech or whatever we call it)…

…a little bit of everything, as long as it flows and we all dance. 

As a side note, I’ve been getting more and more comfortable playing some of my own unsigned productions, so you’ll find a few tunes you haven’t heard from me before.

Here comes the thirty-sixth edition of Telekollegen Podcast, this time for you THABO GETSOME.

Nils Thabo Gelfort came in touch with electronic music pretty late. Mainly listening and playing Hip Hop and Reggae, he got bored by the annoying clichés and stereotypes related to this kind of music. In 2001 he got introduced to new playgrounds within the Techno Scene, staying a consumer at first. By 2007 he started promoting his first events, having today regulars under the label "Remain Raw" at clubs like Weekend, Cookies or Tape Club. Due to the constant interaction with DJs and producers from around the globe he finally took his first steps in producing. He released music on labels like Katermukke, Suara or Clap Your Hands. His sets follow a suspense curve, driven by pulsating basslines, rhythmic percussions and a little dashes of the Hip Hop he felt in love with in the 90s.

Now more than ever, building bridges, connecting with the people around us and promoting unity is a necessity to live in prosperity towards the future… Sometimes one plus one is more than two… On Wednesday night and Thursday morning we witnessed an example of this magic when we united forces with Robot Heart, creating an epic experience between both stages and a massive mixed audience. The sun had risen and it was time for the last set on the Warrior's side, it was time for MENTAL. Rebolledo and Dramian created an energetic hypnotic journey through a wide range of emotions. A morning to remember... It was one for the books...

Mental - Mayan Warrior x Robot Heart - Burning Man - 2016

Having grown up in Mallorca, listening to IBIZA SONICA RADIO, it's a real honour to make a guest mix of almost entirely original material (including a couple of unreleased tracks) for When We Dip that was broadcast live on the air (92.4FM in the Balearic Islands) and on the Ibiza Sonica website.

For the entirety of my career up until now, I think I feared playing my own songs in sets and mixes because I felt they were inadequate when compared to what inspired me. I spent so much time trying NOT to listen to electronic music that I developed a void in between what I loved to listen to and what I loved to make. It's only natural to view your work as 'lesser' when comparing house music to the Motown greats. That being said, lately I feel that I've found it in myself to let go and see what I do for what it is - and what it isn't - in turn taking the pressure off for me to live up to these impossible standards that I've set for myself and focus on creating for the love of it.

After finishing this mix I sat in the sunshine and mindfully listened through with a loose ear and an open heart, and I'm happy to say that I AM PROUD of the music I make and that I will do everything I can to continue living a life dedicated to the creation of things I love.

A Monday like no other... After 9 hours wait to enter, we cruised the playa for the first time, we joined our Gardens of Babylon family for their welcoming party in Bang Bang, with so many familiar faces and friends, we directly felt at home! 
We then hoped on Maxa Camp's magical Deer art car, and drove toward Bang Bang, all of a sudden the party became a moving party, so many colourful bikes were following, we were completely mesmerized, it was the first time we played for a moving dancefloor! Until we reached the playa and then the crowd just didn't stop getting more colourful, more lights, more vibe. It literally was out of this world. 
What a welcome to Burning Man <3 !
