It’s nothing new, the question of education in the trade.  There was the Wine Trade Club, ran a series of lectures, very up-market – not up-market – but good lectures, well before the war.  And also, there was an education committee of the Wine and Spirit Association, which also ran education courses.  And they got people from the trade to give all the lectures, and it was almost obligatory, certainly for the people in London to have gone to those courses.
