What are ‘false memories’?  How common are they?  Do we ever have any and if we do how will we know; how can anyone know?  If you can’t trust your mind what can you trust if anything?  Will there be telltale signs of these false memories and if so, would we even be able to grasp them and even if we did could we understand them and, who knows, possibly do something to change them?
All good questions, if you ask.  
I know that we all think we know which memories are ‘real’, but do we really; and even if we do, what about the Mandela Effect and the impact of ‘mass false memories’.   So perhaps we all believe something that is false and as we explore we struggle with being proven wrong; and that might bring into question every memory we might have; be it a childhood memory or a memory from a past love, or a past disaster…
Did it really happen…was that building really there…did that person really do that…were you really there…did you really act like that?   If there is no plausible way to prove anything either way; HOW will we ever know and that begs the greater question - should we?
Maybe it’s all solid and straightforward or maybe it’s much more complex; or even nonexistent.
Is life fixed; are our memories…or are our memories malleable – and if they are what is real?
