I'am very happy to present the second episode of this mix series recorded in the SoundTruck. 
For this one, I've explored early hip hop, ragga, reggeaton, and rap of both Nigeria and Ghana Scene from the 90's to the late 00's. In this transition period, we can feel the influence of African 80's music being morphed into what would be modern Naija, Afrobeat and Modern Hiplife. The influence of US hiphop of that time is also very present, which makes it a unique blend of styles and grooves.

hurling frost into spreadsheets
then molten wind into email chains
I shed layers like an onion
until only deadlines remain

We dream of revolutions
but the fire alarm
tests itself at random
reminding us rebellion
requires fresh batteries
