Synthetic and organic forms twist and stretch around one another like vines, spiraling into a double helix of texture and tone. Such is the kind of world that our next guest, Richard Fearless, conjures up with his enigmatic expression of electronic music. Everflowing, ever-evolving, and never boring, he has established himself as a true pioneer as both a selector and producer. As part of the band Death in Vegas, he founded the label DRONE in 2004 where he then continued on to release his first album Transmission in 2016. Since then, Fearless has been busy at work bending genres and mastering the art of synthesis.

Clocking in at over an hour, this mix is rather a live recording made up entirely of his own productions. A playful, experimental and thoroughly engaging listen that takes us deep into his world. we came across this great mix by caykh recordings of the golden days of somali music. sounds from before the war, songs from before the beautiful city of mogadishu became a battle ground for 2 decades. 

"This Mix of 70's and 80's Somali sound is a rich blend of traditional Somali folk music infused with Western funk, rock and reggae and a touch of Indian, Arabic and African flavors.

There are hardly any proper releases of this soulful sound of guitar, synthesizer and drums. I spent some months finding, compiling and editing rips of TV and live recordings on old VHS tapes and radio broadcasts to cassette tapes and here is what I got. Enjoy! With love from Mogadishu."
