When different becomes hard to come by in the music industry every artist must define what sets them apart from the norm. Whether lyrical genius or a "vocal Sinatra" JJ DAE Aka The Hood Hippie embodies the evolution of music from Southern soul to new age alternative with hints of urban grit. As an Atlanta based Artist raised in the Carolinas lyrically, vocally and musically he is a different type of talent that finds himself in a lane of his own. One with the music and the words that flow from an insatiably creative soul he continues to evolve as an artist and an individual. His journey will be one to watch because he has yet to reach his potential and is considered one of the next artists to emerge from south.

Tracks recorded live from the weekly show at Brickhouse Pizzeria and Grille in Spartanburg, SC.  Currently in it's 8th year (in 2015) and still going strong. Powered by a supportive audience who encourages original music and a cast of weekly performers at the open mic, each week spotlights a featured artist(s) or band who plays for an hour.
