"Seahorses & Earthquakes" features 2 tracks from Jewel Kid himself - "Brasil" and "Amus" - that continue to exhibit the well-founded sound that he has recently been acquainted with.

Roger Martinez kicks off 2013 with yet another EP that blew us away here at Gem headquarters. His previous EP ‘Die Magische Tijd’ was one of the peoples favorites of 2012 and the title track is followed up on the Eschaton EP with ‘De Machtige Trip’. Another beautiful melodic techno voyage that we have come to love from this exciting artist. ‘Eschaton’ and ‘Kracht’ are both extremely powerful high quality dance floor destroyers.

All three tracks on this EP have been big crowd pleasers during Martinez’ live performance which was one of the highlights of Amsterdam Dance Event 2012. Roger Martinez - De Machtige Trip | Out Feb 11th 2013 on Gem Records

The Cool Quest is a Dutch band with over 500 (festival) shows, lots of airplay and several awards to their name. The band members met more or less by accident at a jam session in 2010 and got along so well, they decided to start working together on a regular basis. This eventually led to their first album ‘Funkin’ Badass’, which came out in 2014. After presenting their single ‘Shine’, that was also released in 2014, the band decided to take on a different direction by renewing their sound. The saxophone was replaced with a guitar, which created a more electronic sound than before. Their current sound can be described best as somewhere between classic hip hop and modern pop music with a dash of light-foot funk, reminding strongly of early 90’s hip hop energy. Their EP ‘Pulsar’ (2016) and singles ‘Heatwaves’ (2016), ‘Coastline’ (2016) and ‘Runnin’’ (2017) have set the tone for the upcoming album, that will be released in the spring of 2018. Stay tuned, because there’s a lot more where this came from!
