Classic warbly Beatlesque piano chords jangle beneath a reflectively maudlin melody and lyric that still manages to have a dignified bounce and a happy go lucky resiliance with its jolly fanfare feel. Lovely rich baritonal vocal delivers the goods with a sorry style who cares not that he's lost it all, because every cloud has a silver lining, eh? Happy New Year to y'all.
