Over It (Featuring Dia Frampton)

Growing up, I listened to a lot of rock from across the ages. There were a few artists who I was particularly drawn to, and Frampton was one of those. I remember as a kid hearing the talkbox and being totally blown away. So when the opportunity came, I jumped at being able to do a funky little reworking of "Do You Feel Like We Do".

With his extensive production credits and with nearly two decades worth of experience, Joris Voorn is one of the most prolific DJs in the game. Seven years ago he unleashed his Dark Science alias and in 2014 he resurrects the moniker for a new EP.

Coming out via Rejected, the two-track EP is his first venture back to Dark Science territory and it explores perhaps a lighter side to his mind-set. The first track 'Rain' is a bubbly and rolling house tune, littered with trumpets and slick guitar licks.

POOLS - Power Questing

Clouds continue their untouchable run of untouchable bombs with Matter, earning huge support from the likes of Tiga and Erol Alkan, as well as the likes of others.

This digital-only Twin Turbo release further showcases the balls-to-the-floor insanity of their previous work, and paves the way for their forthcoming EP on Turbo proper, which highlights the more mature side of the post-schoolboy Scotsmen. To commit these particular bangers to vinyl, though, would be like trying to capture a hurricane in a diaper - heroic but ultimately pointless.

The release features a killer remix by Ado, which only makes us more curious about how his name is pronounced. We've also included a remix from Ego Troopers, an outfit made up of two underage Belgian boys, one of whom is Steph "Half of Soulwax" DeWaele's  godson.

This is the first time I am releasing an album as a physical product at the same time as a digital version. The second disc of the double CD set contains 13 additional tracks straight off the vinyl acetates that I composed and created in order to make legit sounding samples for A Color Map of The Sun.

Like always, the album is available in its entirety as a free download via prettylightsmusic.com. For the first time however, I encourage you to purchase a copy of the album. There are two honest reasons for this. The main reason is that as an artist I have always reinvested any success I have directly back into the music, the show and the art that goes along with it. Secondly, this isn't just an album; it is a massive collection of music beyond what is on the CDs that I will continue to put out after the album release. There is an insightful documentary film on the making of this project to be released alongside the launch of the album, as well as a music video for every song. They are all beautiful and uniquely unusual pieces of art.

This "album" is a multi-medium map of my mind and my self. It is personal and honest and I put everything into it. I have stayed on the path of being a completely independent musician and with the help of every supporter and friend, we have transformed a simple idea into a movement, a cultural beacon of light. If you can, I encourage you to purchase a digital or physical copy of A Color Map of the Sun. If not simply support by sharing the music and sharing the idea. If there is any success to be had from this album, it will go back into my rule bending, never ending quest to channel beauty and taste through music and art.
