So many connections, things that seemed irrelevant at the time all making sense now. I made this mix right after rehab. I was isolated and rejected by the person I was in love with because of monogamy rules. Completely stonewalled out of the blue. I thought if I could demonstrate what real love looks and feels like I could change his mind. He didn't even listen to it. I was so fucking mad and broken by that. I had no choice but to put that love somewhere else. back into myself. self love can only be learned when you have no choice. that's what healed me. 

 I also started reading tarot at the same time, this must be when I started channeling Mac because he went through the same struggle. I hadn't even listened to his music at this point. only a few songs. but self care got me through the darkest times of my addiction when i felt utterly alone. the few moments of joy were listening to that song. bringing my inner world into creation through music is what healed me.  the big realizon was "why am i chasing someone who doesnt seem to give a fuck about me? what does that say about me?" now i only chase the best version of myself. I still dont know where I'll end up, its more about manifesting a dream and trusting that the right person will find you when the time is right. you can't force love.

 as someone whose used to always getting what I want that filled me with rage.... and that brings us to house of mirrors. and yes serendipidy on that one too. i just harvest and that mix poured outta me like hot lava in 48 hours. my best work came from pain not joy. 

when i finally spoke with him again one year later, he treated me like his worst enemy, because cheating "destroyed" his life. It reminded me of peeta after being tortured by the capitol, like he was turned against me. it's why I don't believe in traditional monogamy anymore. it feels too extreme and naive imo. To me, love is sharing, being humble, generous, and free. "I love to see you laugh even if I didn't write the joke." 
The dark night of the soul is no joke, but you gotta touch the darkness before you can see the light. It's the price of ascension. silver linings. i see dead people. i still dont know for sure... 🤔 uncertainty has it purpose too... look at all the treasures i found in my search! idk imma let the dead rest in peace. thank you, next. luv ya, sing it at my funeral.

My first EP.
Packed with original guitar licks and synthesized kicks. Sprinkled with that fake Rhodes Piano and wrapped with a smooth Squier P-Bass line. Inspired by funk, blues, and break-beats, I wanted to combine all my half learned instruments together to make something you can bob your head to.
