This track opens the Outlier album. It’s built from tension, that kind of magnetic pull on the dancefloor where everything’s unspoken, but understood. A little sweat, a little danger, that flicker of eye contact that changes everything. No introductions. No questions. Just energy.

I wanted something French house inspired, but not obvious. Clean mix, sexy groove, no vinyl static. I created a conversation with the vocal and sax responding to each other, almost like foreplay and that’s where the track finally lets go.

This one's for the ones who never needed to ask.

This fall Michal Menert takes his renowned musical stylings to the next level as he drops the debut studio album from his six-piece live band, Michal Menert and the Pretty Fantastics. The lyrically-driven, electronic/indie LP is out NOW on Super Best Records.

The debut album for the sextet is like nothing you've ever heard from Menert, and will distinguish Michal Menert and the Pretty Fantastics as its own musical force with a uniquely indie-rock style. With beautiful melodic structure, vocals from Michal himself, and playfully inventive lyricism, this LP takes a leap in an exciting new direction while maintaining the uncompromising songwriting and production that we've come to expect.

Known for his energetic live performances and thick, intricate sound, Josh Teed is a bass music producer from New Hampshire, who mixes organic sounds and a variety of live instruments, including violin, guitar, didgeridoo, and percussion, with heavy bass music and driving drum lines.  

Josh Teed is currently managed by Aspire Higher and has already racked up releases with them and the Gradient Perspective over the course of his young career.  We are stoked to bring you his latest tune titled "Tengu"
