Dream Chimney proudly announces their latest release from Stockholm's Tommy Awards, "Auspicious Beginnings." Tommy Awards has consistently mesmerized us with their evocative soundscapes and dreamy balearic masterpieces. Previously finding homes on labels like Origin Peoples, Craig Bratley's Magic Feet, and Nuearth Conservatory as well as our previous Demo Tracks Vol. 3 compilation. We first got hooked on Tommy Awards back in 2012 from their unreleased collection of tracks on SoundCloud and have been huge fans of theirs ever since.

This ten-track journey seamlessly blends electronic textures, ambient washes, and shoegaze-tinged drones, effortlessly creating atmospheres and hypnotic soundscapes for your soul. A soundtrack for a new age, "Auspicious Beginnings" truly showcases their undeniable talent in the genre. We hope you enjoy the album as much as we do.

Hell Yeah kicks off 2024 in fine style with a new album from Australian producer Dawn Again. ‘Every Dog's Hotel’is a dreamy, breaks-driven, downtempo excursion the artist has dubbed "pubwave."
 
Melbourne-based Nick Verwey has been crafting solo and collaborative cuts for the best part of a decade on labels like Houseworx and Enjoyment Division, he operates in a world where danceable grooves are paired with laid-back moods. His lo-fi sound is both sunlit and sunset-ready and is for grown-up crowds who like to get down on rooftops, sandy enclaves, or laidback living rooms. This new album was conveyed during the global lockdown when Nick and his friends were missing their favourite communal drinking spots, and they were listening to a ton of downtempo by Heights of Abraham, Pork Recordings, Baby Mammoth and Bullitnuts.
 
The EP opens with long leggy breaks and soft smooth shakers encouraging you to sway while gazing up at the melodic stars. 'Foam Party' zones out with vaporous chords and gentle tumbling drums. 'Journey Through The Schoonerverse' is a suspensory trip to the clouds with effortlessly loose breaks and synths. 'Wonky Friends' is a dubbed out and slow mo house kick, while 'Kneverending Knockoffs' keeps the energy high with raw percussion and acid twitches that journey through a heat haze on a warm afternoon. Closer 'Backyard Paradiso' is the horizontal finish that washes over you like rays of sun and gently breaking waves to leave you relaxed from head to toe. There’s also a digital bonus 'Hard Earned Thirst' that leaves an extra chance to luxuriate in Dawn Again'srichly layered synths and leisurely breaks.
 
‘Every Dog’s Hotel’ really hits the dreamy, laidback Balearic brief and comes with a gorgeous cover painting by Holly Hunt of an old English haunt called the Old Neptune, and what nails the brief better than a pub that is literally on the beach. It’s a place to pull up to, sink a drink, and soak into some lavish and escapist downtempo sonics.
