Number one in an ongoing series of mixes I've done live at the wonderful Hostel La Torre on the island of Ibiza. Myself and my Brother Andrew operate as The Brothers Grim, a tag team djing duo who will play any place that will allow us to play the music we love. We play for four hours at The Hostel and the featured mixes will generally be around an hour long, the most incredible hour in the 24. As the sun sets majestically into the Mediterranean and bathes Ibiza in it's warming glow.....

Super Fu might be a new name to many but they are are a trio of musicians with deep roots in the UK electronic scene, a collaboration between Richard Hall (Paper Street Soul), Paul Withey and Sarah Lazenby (Sweetooth). Having known each other for a number of years having featured on the same releases together under our different guises, a collaboration had been talked about, but it wasn’t until the extraordinary situation that occurred over the last year and a half that has really given them the time to really see what would happen. They set out to create music without boundaries using all 3 of their varied influences and a creative freedom. Their EP Cocoons from earlier in 2021 introduced the act to the world and was followed up by their wonderful eponymous album Super Fu both on Paper Recordings, a stunning collection of 10 tracks receiving support from a wide and varied cast of respected artists.

"I spent the whole of the lockdowns alone which, while being pretty grim at times, also gave me the chance to reconnect with music beyond it being my job.
I’d lost sight of why I started doing things in the first place so this time away let me rediscover the joy I have in a much broader palette of music than what I’d become known for.
I ended up starting a music page on FB which connected me to loads of amazing people with similarly broad tastes and that music group ended up turning into a weekly party in Newcastle which has really made me fall in love with sharing music to dance floors again.
I’ve learned a bunch of lessons though, and one of them is to never do anything just for the PR any more, as it’s transparent if you’re not completely invested: That means that I now find myself either turning down podcast opportunities, or coming back with ridiculously long and indulgent mixes."
