Good news! Our boy from Brampton, Cal-C has graciously contributed our longest mix to date as the 99th installment of Pacific Spirit. 

It’s a dusty trip through Cal’s lifetime spent digging in Ontario, Canada and a credit to his impeccable taste and impressively open minded approach to music discovery. The music featured in this mix is incredibly earnest and honest, brimming with regional references and bedroom production. A truly refreshing experience in an era bogged down with AI slop and overly polished music.

Servin up all my digs from local basements where i had to fight multiple cockroaches to the death 🪳 ☠️ & expose my lungs to black mold that will probably result in serious respiratory issues late in life 😷 All this for the raer recor & CD only curiosityz..Concious GO transit Dub from Guelph, Brazilian capoeira funk from Burlington, Trini downtempo from MTL, Steel Pan raps from a Toronto Board Of Education Professor, house from Pickering, loads of local real ppl Toronto reggae, future classic jambient that sounds like deep forest, that OTHER Nusrat Fateli Khan “Magic Touch”release that has hidden “bonus tracks” that were definitely NOT produced by Bally Sagoo..& some things that can’t & won’t be mixed becuase it would sound bad, and also whatever the fuck else i feel like putting in a SIQ MIX ™️ . Because who cares. fuck it, i suck, i like stuff that sounds like a dollar or free. hope you like it, i hope you think its UNBELIEVABLE BABY🤘🏻 ☮️
