CRYSTAL EYES

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how short of a shelf life music seems to have in the EDM community. 

With pressure from social media to produce easily digestible content, people consume and produce music at a much faster rate than ever before.  

I’ve heard people call tracks “old” that were literally released 3 months ago. That’s insane. 

When prepping music for a set one evening, I noticed that I STILL play tracks in my sets that are over 10 years old. This got me thinking…

Could I make a mix that bounced back and forth between a DECADE or more on every transition in an attempt to showcase music from way back then and how it still can be meshed with what’s being created today?

Would this help some new bass music fans re-discover some of the great bass music that was being created before they got into the scene?

So, I did it.
