their purpose to convert the carbon dioxide atmosphere of mars into oxygen, to make the planet more habitable.

... kind of ambitious*** idea/draft :-) ... and definitely no easy listening :-) ... the breath instruments are multilayered improvisation, with flute and breath controller. The orchestral strings were set via midi notes. Also the keys, which mark the root notes from time to time.
Somehow it is a balancing act between improvising on the one hand, and having a kind of concept in mind of "atonality" and a certain mood. --- Yesterday I read something about indigenous tribes between the Amazon and Orinoco and the nature of their stories: "The Yanomami are afraid of fixed forms, of defined material and of stories with a clear beginning and end and chronological course." Maybe that also applies to me ;-)    ***Everything is done by ear and without theory.
