A powerhouse collaboration arrives on Defected as BLOND:ISH, Moby and Kiko Franco come together for ‘Natural Blues’. A bona fide talent with many strings to her bow, BLOND:ISH has emerged as one of this generation’s most acclaimed electronic artists. From launching the non-profit environmental organisation Bye Bye Plastic and her own label ABRACADABRA, to playing the biggest stages around the world like Coachella, Tomorrowland and Pacha Ibiza’s first ever female residency in 2025, there is nothing BLOND:ISH can’t do. Returning to Defected after 2024’s tastemaker hit ‘The Cure’ with KeeQ and Chloe Paige, BLOND:ISH now collaborates with Moby, one of the world’s most prolific and best-selling dance music artists who also returns to Defected after label debut ‘You & Me’ with Anfisa Letyago. The two powerhouses are joined by acclaimed DJ, producer and remixer Kiko Franco, an established Brazillian talent who has collaborated with the likes of Duke Dumont and Vintage Culture while lending his sound to chart-topping tracks from Shouse and Zerb. ‘Natural Blues’ is a uniting of three experts in their field; Moby’s signature, sample-led sound is underpinned by upbeat piano patterns, complimented by BLOND:ISH’s complex production skills, while Kiko Franco’s monumental use of Afro house percussion and synth leads maximises the pre-drop tension. Together the three artists have created a rich and explosive house record that is set to uplift dancefloors globally this summer.

Shiibuya, also known as Aditha, began his musical journey in 2016, inspired by the rise of EDM and legendary acts like Swedish House Mafia. 

Over time, his sound evolved through the exploration of multiple genres, ultimately leading him to the rich, dark and groovy depths 
progressive house by the year 2022. 

With a growing appreciation for the intricacies of the progressive house scene, Shiibuya draws influence from global icons like Ewan Rill, Guy J, and Alex Orion and John Digweed as well as local talent such as Subandrio.

Welcome back to the Drift State mix series! This weeks guest is a rising talent in the United Arab Emirate's ever-growing progressive house scene, please welcome @user-520409317

Sanjana has been an active DJ since 2018, but his love affair with progressive house began much earlier, in 2015. What started as a deep appreciation for the genre soon grew into an obsession with crafting immersive sonic journeys.

In the early stages of his career, Sanjana’s sets leaned toward underground-driven progressive house, blending hypnotic rhythms with melodic touches. Over time, his sound matured into a darker, more intricate form marked by deep grooves, textured layers, and an emotional undercurrent that resonates with listeners on a profound level.

Sanjana draws inspiration from visionary artists such as Armen Miran, Dowden, Guy J, Tonaco, Ric Niels, Subandrio, Dimuth K, Sajay, and Harith. Their influence can be heard across his sets, each one a testament to the depth and emotional intensity of the underground.

Currently based in the United Arab Emirates, Sanjana continues to push his sound forward not just on the decks, but also through his monthly podcast series”Intunor” where he curates globally selected artists who share his passion for deep, progressive storytelling.

With a growing reputation for delivering immersive, groove-heavy performances, Sanjana is presence in the underground progressive house scene.

Computer kid of the 80s. Not french. Nickname given by my then girlfriend when I looked a lot like an actual french dj in the early 2000s(?)... 🤷

Grew up with all the classic synthesizer greats, JMJ, Vangelis, etc, TD, ... Big fan of Peter Schilling (of Major Tom fame) back in the day. His B-sides and non-singles are still so fricking good imho. A lot of Genesis and Marillion and a lot of Pop, only to be swept away by the late 80s and 90s House and Techno wave in Germany. Hardcode raver for many years.

Ofc then transitioning into Spanish music and American country and a lot of Dave Matthews Band. Because why not. But never really lost my electronic heart.

Came to Linkin Park somewhat late, and I enjoy(ed) Disturbed a lot.

But in recent years it's been mostly chill melodic house for me. Thank you very much.
