There is an abandoned house. It's nearly falling apart. High, thin trees gather close by. The door to the house is brown. I open the door and see trees growing through windows. Sunlight filters through branches. Dark, dry leaves cover the floor. There is an old piano... neglected, covered in dust...abiding a dark corner. Wood paneling on the walls is warped and splitting apart. Through a split in the warped wall, a blackbird peers out at me then slips back into the wall. I won't go into the house. I am afraid of the bird. In his mouth hangs something white. He then flies to the threshold, before me in the doorway. In his mouth hangs a dead dove. A dove, limp, bloody, mangled. But the head is pristine and white. The blackbird eats the dove's head. Blackbird eats the White Dove's head. On top of the blackbird's head forms a white spot. He has done this so that I now understand his language...

Formed in 2001 by R. Loftiss, The Gray Field Recordings is an amalgamation of noise, classical, folk, and ambient...often all together in a single song. Justin Jones, David Salim, Frank Suchomel, Alan Trench, and Mike Seed have appeared on several releases.
