The gene modifications passed on by your predecessors serves to keep you alive, to be able to drink, eat the spoiled food and breathe the ashy air on the surface. The wind blasts your fragile body as you stagger towards the underground shelter, maybe this time you will find survivors in the maze.

This dark ambient track represents the absence of place where you feel you must be. Feel the slow wind passing by you. Feel the late sunset in the skies. The thoughts and energy to this track are brought by the season. The perfect late autumn type ambiance. Just sitting at the top of small hill, watching the sun going down through clouds, as the leaves fall down. Red leaves decorating the ground bloody red and apocalyptic.

The Inner Devil - The Place Where I Belong

Locked out from the Illusion, this album takes place entirely in our former home. The darkened sky and gargantuan citadels line the horizon as the endless city, we once ruled as gods, stretches as far as the eye can see. Crossing the sea of the dead in search for a Beacon of Light that can lead the expedition to uncover the truth about the factions in control, what happened to the long lost architect and how to open a portal back into the colorful illusion the ignorant call home. 

This 11 track Atrium Carceri album is closely connected to The Untold and sheds more light unto what goes on in the Atrium Carceri universe and the Metropois in particular. The hearth warms your bones as you peer out the crosshatch window. The damp morning dew forms translucent drops on the knee high grass. Whatever was out there last night seems gone but the birds are not yet singing and the animals still hiding. You pull your trekking boots on and head out the gnarled door, leaving the heat of the lonely cabin behind. 

Save the faint caw of a crow from up in the canopy, the forest lay silent; Devil's Hill looms in the distance. Through crooked trees you go as the headache hits you and flashes from last night come flooding back; Hooded figures. Blood. The sacrifice! Through clenched teeth you gaze down at the compass in your hand. The needle spinning faster and faster. Anxiously, you look back for the cabin, but it's gone. Gone! Devil's Hill dominates where it once stood, only one way to go. 

Lush field recordings, detailed soundscapes and melancholic melodies drench this album in atmosphere. For lovers of high fidelity dark ambient.
